At Foteviken the traditional midwinter blot takes place just before Christmas. The opening hours Christmas market is 10am to 4pm on Saturday 15 December and 11am to 3pm on Sunday 16 december. The Viking craftsmen can have their tables in our new conference hall, but also in the houses in the Viking Reserve. The entire Viking town will of course be open and the houses can be used in different ways. You are of course also welcome to put up your Viking tent, if you wish. The museum shop will also be open during the day. In the Thinghöll there will be singing, dancing and storytelling during the day. You are of course welcome to participate. Our restaurant in the Valhalla will also be open.

By tradition primitive sleeping accommodation will be arranged. Take your own sleeping bag with you.

Saturday
9.30am The Vikings are ready
10am to 4pm The Christmas market is open to the public
6pm The Midwinter blot will be celebrated. (This is for Vikings only)
7pm The great Viking feast in the Valhalla, for all Vikings. The price is 100 SEK per person.

10.30am The Vikings are ready
11am to 3pm The Christmas market is open to the public
