The Viking Age
The great festivity hall of The Viking Reserve, the "Thinghöll", was unaugurated at 7.23 pm, on June 28th, 2001, in presence of 86 Vikings from 22 different countries. Read more about Thinghöll.

Mischas boat
The other buildings
The cultural heritage of the Viking Age is indeed present in the landscape, surrounding the Museum of Foteviken. This area was of great im-portance to the Danish kings.

In the winter of 2003, there are twenty reconstructions of different houses from the Viking Age and the early Middle Ages in the Viking Reserve. Read more about some of these buildings.

As an established Viking or member of a re-enactment group, you are of course always welcome to visit the Viking Reserve. You can come and stay whenever you like. You can borrow a Viking tent or stay in one of the houses or bring along a Viking tent of your own and pitch your own camp. The Viking Reserve is an international place of congregation for all Vikings. Read more about this.
